The need to create this new product did not originate merely from the demand of a racing product but from the real problems related to this valve installed originally in engine Fiesta 1.0 turbo mk8 95/120 cv
Being a diaphragm, this valve EFM1 does not withstand high pressure and temperature peaks, as was requested, which cause it to break and also negatively affect the performance of the engine, both in acceleration and at a steady running rate (power loss in acceleration).
Some problems even appear in a healthy diaphragm, but with higher turbine pressures (after programming the control unit).
Whilst developing the project, we added the possibility for the customer to be able to interchange the three solutions.
The specifications of the our EFM1 valve are definitely outstanding; this valve is not only Plug & Play in the mechanical, electrical and electronic parts, but also has the superior specifications referred to the original product:
- No closing diaphragm, but a plastic piston, designed for very high temperatures (beyond 270° therefore no possibility of breakage);
- Durable and incredibly efficient electromagnet (opening and closing times cut by 20%);
- Guaranteed and tested operation at 3 bar with temperature of 170° of the inlet air;
- Made entirely of automotive anodised aluminium with very low lead content;
- It can be turned by 360° on the bracket. 1 support for improved positioning during installation;
- IP67 airtight seal of the electrical connector and valve/solenoid casing;
- Black, the same colour as the original, therefore it is difficult to notice and contest;
- 2-year warranty for all its parts;
- Even end users can install it themselves quite easily;

Our new Power Pop can be installed on any car with turbo petrol motor without any of the above-mentioned problems. The working is guaranteed also in presence of ignition/injection systems with airflow rate reading through debimeter or hot wire.
The valves sold until now from most producers use a suction regulator that evaluates the airflow rate in order to stop the opening of the valve by idling and solve in this way the idling problem. This solution lets the valve open in a limited way while releasing the gas pedal and therefore alters the good working of the exhaust.
With our new Power Pop this difficult and inappropriate regulation has been totally removed, therefore there is no problem at all. Guarantee of over breathing and no noise.

Unlike the previous versions we created, this system integrates a new micrometric pressure control system, which allows you to adjust and manage the pressure with intervals of hundredths of a bar to obtain and control minimum increases in pressure, power and torque, without the control unit entering recovery status.
It also proves useful when reprogramming the control unit where you are unable to obtain the attempted pressure.
Adjustments are made using a special little turning hand, and in steps of just a few degrees apart, to increase or decrease by just a few hundredths (2 to be precise).
This mechanical feature allows you to move forward or backward always in the same identical position without losing the adjustments made.
As in all our overboost systems, adjustments are made without releasing air externally.
A preloaded spring system with different working sections of the pressure allows continuous and precise adjustment and modulation, keeping the set value constant, applying a slight response delay, which will allow you to obtain also a small pressure peak different from the constant pressure set. This favours a higher torque.

WASTE GATE
Many people think it is sufficient to stretch the spring of the waste gate to easily obtain horsepower. But very few know that stretching the spring (by shortening the rod) one obtains not only more power but also a dangerous reduction of the opening door, as the stroke of the waste gate is shorter. When the exhausting door gets less open, it does not release the gas at the best and automatically increases its pressure and temperature causing those fatal cracks in the turbine and the dangerous increase of the exhaust backpressure. To face this problem it is sufficient to replace the Waste Gate with one more appropriate to the needs of the turbine. Our Waste Gates are completely built with ergal and are hard anodised and therefore can resist at high pressure and temperatures, besides they have no kind of diaphragm but a piston that has a stroke that is double than in a normal waste gate. To order it, it is sufficient to state the pressure you want to obtain and the car model. In some cases our Waste Gates are equipped with bolt and tie rods, while in other cases the installation needs the original bolt. In this case it is sufficient to detach the Waste Gate from its bolt, which will be later used as support to our Waste Gate.

This product is NOT HOMOLOGATED to be driven on roads open to traffic. It is designed exclusively to be used where current laws allow so. Autofficina Bonalume is therefore not liable for any personal injuries or material damages caused by or created through the improper use of the product.
Before you start reading the technical specifications, we inform you that we do in any event advise you not to remove the catalyser for any reason whatsoever.
The new version of the ksl product is now available. This product does not replace the previous product but actually amplifies the range. The difference between the two products lies in the operating temperature that they are able to withstand. This new model called HKSL can be installed even in vehicles with very short exhausts or manifolds such as the following: PORSCHE-FERRARI-LOTUS-etc. In these vehicles the Lambda probes are very near the engine, therefore the exhaust gas is much hotter and much faster compared to a vehicle with long exhaust or manifold, or at least compared to a vehicle with engine at the front and exhaust that runs right along the vehicle before is reaches the outlet. This is because, in such configuration, the Lambda probes are much further away from the engine compared to the versions just mentioned.
Then there are other cases such as vehicles with aspirated or turbo engines, which either due to an exasperated preparation or due to a “weak” fuel mix, have the same conditions of high temperature or high speed of the exhaust gas. Such condition is unbearable for the Lambda probes too (failures in Lambda probes are indeed very often caused by high temperatures) and so we have re-designed and produced another and new model of the ksl product. The new HKSL product is able to withstand temperatures of around 1150 degrees. The high cost of the materials used and the processing times, which are tens times those of the previous version, have a negative effect on the end price. The new HKSL product does NOT REPLACE THE PREVIOUS KSL PRODUCT.

Your motor turns “thin”, that is insufficient of fuel, because one not precise reason or because they it is been born therefore gives. In this case if we assemble a fcp and we raise also a few the fuel pressure, immediately we have the power increments they are perceive also less expert.
But if our motor turns very well carburation and we install the fpc, we don’t non avremo any improvement or if the motor turns
lightly “fat” and we assemble a fcp, we have lose whether power and pair.

Here’s a quick example to explain better.
CLASSIC SYMMETRICAL PETROL PRESSURE REGULATOR.

In this condition, if we need to send more fuel to the engine because the mix is weak, we need to adjust the pressure regulator and increase it just enough to reach the carburation at medium and high rates. If the carburation is on the other hand very weak, we need to increase the pressure regulator considerably, thus creating DIRTY carburation at low rates. (with obvious consequences of loss in torque, pollution, consumption and immediate deterioration of the catalyst)
We therefore need to find a compromise and accept what we can do. Conclusion: dirty output at low rates, almost good at medium rates and limit weak conditions at high rates.
This problem disappears with the ASYMMETRIC regulator with ratio of 1/1,4 because the increase percentage is asymmetrical with the turbine pressure.

Not only is it asymmetric but it is also progressive, therefore the increase in pressure is proportional even from the low turbine pressures; each tenth of a bar of the turbine involves an increase of 1,4 tenths of a bar in the petrol pressure.
It is also adjustable and also interchangeable with the original regulator, therefore it does not need to be modified to be able to install it. No awkward and dangerous piping filled with pressurised petrol to run around the engine bay.
