DISMANTLE THE ORIGINAL GEARSTICK
REMOVE THE LOGO OF THE GEARS ON THE GEARSTICK KNOB AND UNSCREW THE BOLT UNDERNEATH.
TAKE THE KNOB OFF, COMPLETE WITH COVER, REMOVE THE SEMI PLASTIC GUARD AND THE TWO “30” TORX SCREWS THAT SECURE THE CENTRAL CABINET TO THE DASHBOARD AND DISCONNECT THE TWO GEAR CONTROL CABLES
TAKE THE ORIGINAL GEARSTICK OFF, LEVERING AROUND THE OUTER EDGES OF THE WHITE PLASTIC PART (PICTURE N1 ), BEING CAREFUL NOT TO FORCE IT EXCESSIVELY TO AVOID BREAKING IT.
SLIDE THE STICK OUT, MAKING SURE THAT THE O-RING ON THE BOTTOM OF THE SUPPORT ALSO COMES OUT (PICTURE N2 )
USING GRIPPERS, SLIDE THE PIN UNDERNEATH OUT THAT ACTS AS A HINGE FOR THE HATCH/BOX AND SHORTEN IT BY 6 MILLIMETRES.
THIS IS REQUIRED SO THAT WHEN THE SECOND GEAR IS ENGAGED, OUR GEARSTICK DOES NOT CAUSE ANY INTERFERENCE.
RE-INSTALLING THE BONALUME GEARSTICK
PUT THE FLEXIBLE STEEL WASHER SUPPLIED IN THE KIT ON THE BOTTOM OF THE SUPPORT (PICTURE N3 )
FIT OUR GEARSTICK WITH THE WHOLE UNIBALL SYSTEM, PUSHING IT RIGHT DOWN ON THE STEEL WASHER INSERTED PREVIOUSLY.
BE VERY CAREFUL, THE OUTSIDE DIAMETER OF OUR UNIBALL SYSTEM IS EXTREMELY PRECISE, THEREFORE RESPECT THE PERPENDICULARITY OF THE SYSTEM PERFECTLY WHEN INSERTING, OTHERWISE IT WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE TO FIT IT.
USING THE SPECIAL GRIPPER, FIT THE SUPPLIED SNAP RING OVER THE UNIBALL SYSTEM AND INSERT IT IN THE SEAT OF THE SUPPORT.
PRESS GENTLY DOWNWARDS TO CONTRAST THE THRUST OF THE STEEL WASHER AT THE BOTTOM.
RE-CONNECT THE CONTROL CABLES AND PUT THE PARTS DISMANTLED PREVIOUSLY BACK IN PLACE.
